Susan was AMAZING to work with when we took our family pictures. These were the first professional pictures we had taken since getting married and it was such a fun experience. I know nothing about photography so it was so nice to just get dressed up and trust that Susan was going to make it look good… and she did. She was fast, efficient and easily worked with what we wanted in our pictures. She really wants you to have pictures that you enjoy. She doesn’t make you feel rushed or like you’re taking up her time. Our pictures were our favorite family pictures so far! Susan took some pictures for a friend of mine and I was so impressed that I just had to have her take some family pictures for us. Susan is so great with kids! My son was being difficult the entire shoot, but you wouldn't know it from the pictures! She is THAT good.  Somehow she made all those cries and protests look like smiles. She never lost her patience with him. I have had family pictures taken with other photographers and I've never met anyone so good with children. I will definitely be getting portraits taken with her in the future.

We had a wonderful time at our photo shoot with Susan.  She was so fun and easy to work with.  Susan did a fantastic job working with our kids and doing age-appropriate shots.  The kids had a good time and keep talking about doing pictures at BYU with Susan.  Our daughter was so sad when we told her that Susan was going home instead of coming to get ice cream with us after the shoot.  Susan did a great job of capturing many aspects of the kids (and our) personalities.  We left knowing that Susan got some great pictures.  She was so quick to get the  pictures to us.  We did our shoot on Saturday and had the CD on Monday.  She went the extra mile to make sure that we got the photos that we wanted.  Susan is very talented.  We feel lucky to have had her share her talents with us.

Here is what Kimberly Job had to say about our photo shoot...

 Getting family pictures taken has never been my favorite thing to do, especially with ten children.  Just the prospect is overwhelming.  What will we wear?  Where will we take them? Can I really clear my kids schedules all at once, and keep seven boys clean for an hour?

Susan Monson made it easy.  She provided suggestions for location and wardrobe, and rearranged her schedule more than once to fit ours.  During the photo shoot she was professional but had an outgoing, fun personality that made every member of my family comfortable and willing to cooperate.

She came prepared with a list of ideas, but was completely open to anything we wanted to try.  I loved her creative photography style.  We had some traditional poses, along with many fun shots.  She is awesome at capturing candid moments that show real emotion.  We are already talking about scheduling my daughter's senior photos, and I won't hesitate to recommend her to family and friends.

I just got a sweet email from Dale and Gayle about what they thought of the photo shoot with Hudson.

Dale and I both think she did a splendid job. She was gracious (and cute!) and knew exactly what she wanted to do WHILE she was letting us be flexible and go with the flow. She had a well thought-out plan, yet let us request anything else we wanted to do. We love the poses she had us in, and she seemed absolutely to catch the important candid moments as well as intended moments. The quality of the pictures was first-rate and I still can't believe we have all these from which to remember our fabulous trip!

Susan made us feel that she had all the time in the world, yet had the ability to keep us going from shot to shot. And....could a grandmother be ANY more pleased when the photographer is able to catch the essence of your adorable grandson! My screen saver at home and at work are filled with Susan's shots. We just loved the whole experience and can't look often enough at all the precious pictures!
